Fish Giourvetsi Bowl
From the traditional village of Mesotopos on the island of Lesvos, these ceramics are handmade start to finish and decorated with scenes and symbols of traditional life in Greece.
This piece represents the Aegean ocean and the sea, a beautiful sight from the shores of Lesvos. She paints each fish in intricate detail around the entire bowl. This bowl is fashioned after a traditional Giourvetsi bowl, which is typically used for baking lamb or chicken with noodles and sauce. This version is not for baking, but is microwave safe to heat foods, and also makes a great presentation for cheeses and dips.
Magdalini uses eco friendly paints in all her products, and uses a method of ceramic making handed down generation to generation.
Approximate bowl size:
6" diameter
2.5" height
(please note - as these are handmade items, product may vary slightly from photos show, as each piece is unique)
