Filakto - φυλαχτό
Traditionally, a Filakto is a Greek word referring to something that keeps you safe by chasing away the evil. It is a small religious cloth pouch pinned to the clothes of a baby on the upper left shoulder blade. Containing fragrant flowers of the Epitathios from the Monasteries of Greece, and wrapped in the cloth of a priest's robes. These have been blessed and make a beautiful gift for a precious child in your life. As an adult, women wear these pinned to a bra strap, and men on a tshirt. Whatever the occassion, these are a truly traditional item from Greece.
