Metal Triangle for Kalanda
This is an "official" metal triangle from Greece used for Kalanda, which is Christmas Caroling for the children of the villages in various regions of Greece 🥳🇬🇷💝🇬🇷 Carols are sung on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and Epiphany Eve, which is on January 5. Children go door to door and sing traditional carols, such as the Greek translation of Silent Night and also the popular Greek carol, Κάλαντα Χριστουγέννων. The clanging of the triangle is a big part of this tradition, and has been for generations ❤️🇬🇷. Sometimes children will also carry model boats decorated with nuts which are painted gold. Its customary for the homeowner to "tip" the singers with delicious treats, such as pastries, fruit, or even small amounts of money.
